Parkers Landing
Parkers Landing

Welcome to Two Rivers Heritage Museum. We invite you to sample some of our treasured collections online and look forward to greeting you in person when you visit us.

We are strategically located in downtown Washougal two minutes from the Columbia River. One mile to the east of us is the famous Lewis and Clark campsite – a reminder that under the direction of Thomas Jefferson, Lewis and Clark scouted our region for America’s westward expansion.  One mile west of us along the Columbia is the historic Parkersville Landing.  This site marks the beginning of our commercial activity and access to interactive river trade. It became the settlement foundation for our region in East Clark County.

Our stories are multi-cultural. We established strong bonds with the Native populations and the diverse newcomers who settled here to start a life of opportunity. The region is abundant in natural resources with fertile ground that made farming a natural for those who settled here. It offered a quality of life and delivered –  then, as it still does today.  We look forward to sharing our history with you.
